FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you train your clients? Where are you located?
I currently reside in the Waterbury, Vermont area. I can either train you at your own home (depending on your goal), or I have access to a gym in the area that we can use. If you are a remote client that wants to receive a pre-program assessment or a periodic checkup, we can arrange to meet.

What about Nutrition? How does that fit in, and how can Dan help me with that important component of my health and fitness regime?
It's important that all of my clients understand that nutrition is the foundation of effective training and a healthy lifestyle. What you eat and when you eat it has an enormous impact on your ability to train effectively, have good energy and especially on how well you lose or gain weight. While I have a fair education in this area, legally I can only give general nutritional advice to my clients. Most states (including Vermont) require that only a certified nutritionist or licensed dietitian give detailed nutritional advice, including writing meal plans. A big reason for this is that each person is different. I may not know that you have a thyroid problem or how something that comes up in a blood test may impact your health or training in some way. I am an expert in training, so that's what I do. I leave the nutrition to another expert because that's what they are good at doing. Ideally, we can work together as a team to sync your training and nutrition to enable an ideal outcome for you. So the bottom line here is, beyond basic nutritional advice, I will work with your nutritionist/dietitian or refer you out to one.

How much do you charge for your services?
This will depend on the type of training you need, whether its one-on-one, small group, team or remote, and how many sessions you are interested in committing to. Please contact me so we can discuss your particular situation.

How long will it take me to reach my goal?
This is highly individual in nature. I can tell you that I have never seen anyone make any major changes without focusing on training for at least 3 months or more. While someone with a very specific goal of jumping 2" higher may be able to accomplish this in a short time period, I find that most of my clients are looking for more global changes or a complete change in their lifestyle - that usually takes much longer.
